Revitalization in the Valley

The Southern Oregon Education Service District (SOESD), in collaboration with the Medford and Grants Pass school districts and ScienceWorks, was awarded a $488,000 Career and Technical Education (CTE) Revitalization Grant. The grant will fund CTE efforts, focusing on 21st century skills in manufacturing and design. This innovative project will provide for industry standard equipment in the manufacturing labs at North, South Medford High Schools and Grants Pass High School as well as providing for two Mobile Class Labs housed at North Medford and Grants Pass High Schools. Working with community industry partners and Rogue Community College these Mobile Class CTE Labs will be utilized in the transportation of Advanced Manufacturing/Design mobile equipment between K12 schools and events in Jackson and Josephine Counties, delivering curriculum based on High Wage/High Demand/High Skill career opportunities for students.
